Wisconsin Dells is centrally located in the southern half of the state.  Right in the middle of Wisconsin’s Heartland, we are just about 50 miles north of Madison and 115 miles northwest of Milwaukee.

The City of Wisconsin Dells, together with the Village of Lake Delton, comprises the popular tourist destination known as the Wisconsin Dells area.  According to the Wisconsin Dells Visitor and Convention Bureau’s 2004-2005 Annual Report, an estimated five million visit the Dells area, annually.  The Wisconsin Dells area is home to just over 5,000 permanent residents.

The Wisconsin Dells area is made up of two communities, the City of Wisconsin Dells and the Village of Lake Delton. Wisconsin Dells is one of the most unique vacation destinations in the country. Natural beauty, ancient rock formations, found only from Germany, Switzerland and Wisconsin Dells. Wisconsin Dells is the Waterpark capital of the world, and is surrounded by miles of fun, indoor and outdoor waterparks, shopping and roller coasters, offering something for everyone to enjoy.

The Wilderness Territory consists of over 600 wooded acres in Wisconsin Dells and is home to Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, which features 444 guest rooms, 40 vacation villas, 76 Frontier Condominiums and 35 cabins. It is also home to  Wilderness on the Lake which features 108 luxurious two and three bedroom condominium units overlooking Lake Delton; and Glacier Canyon Lodge, which features 460 upscale condominium units.
