LOCATION & EMPLOYER

Virginia Beach is a beautiful city with hundreds of hotels, restaurants, nightclubs and shops. With all of the attractions like the aquarium and marina, water and amusement parks, museums and theaters one thing is sure – you won’t be bored. Miles of golden beaches and oceanfront where you can play volleyball, go kayaking or try fishing. All of this including two universities, three military bases and a booming local economy made Virginia Beach one of the most popular places and it’s visited by people from all over the world. 

Virginia is also rich in American history; it is one of the original Thirteen Colonies which took part in the American Revolution and the American Civil War. Visit Colonial Williamsburg or the Historic Jamestown Settlement to experience American history from the 18^th century. Close by Norfolk is home to the largest naval base in the world. At Naval Station Norfolk take a tour of the ships and aircrafts which arrive and depart from the port throughout the year. With so much to see and do you will have an amazing time!

HOUSING

There is plenty of affordable housing in Virginia Beach, but it is very important that you arrange your housing before your arrival to the US. You should expect to pay approximately $100 per week.
