If you’ve applied for a job with us and you’ve made it to the next step, you may be scheduled for a Skype interview with our Recruitment Team.
How can you be at your very best on a long-diastance video interview? Here are a few tips!

Tip #1:

Find a room that’s not completely empty.
This will avoid having a hollow echo sound during your interview.

Tip #2:

Make sure there are no loud noises or voices in the background.
Especially if you are at an internet cafe.
The background noise can be very distracting to you and the recruiter.

Tip #3:

Wearing a headphone with microphone is very helpful!

Tip #4:

Test your equipment and test your internet connection in advance.
Make sure they are both working fine. A frozen screen or broken sounds can be very distracting and annoying.

Tip #5:

Keep the background clean and simple, and position the camera eye level, arm’s length.

Tip #6:

Good lighting is important. No head lighting or lighting below your face.

Tip #7

Make sure you look sharp and professional.
Dress like you are going to a face to face interview. (yes, we’ve had people interview in their pijamas… not a great idea :))

Tip #8:

Smile and make eye contact through camera with your recruiters.
Try to relax and be confident. Consider it just a conversation.

Tips #9:

Be prepared to talk about your best qualities and attributes. Don’t be shy. Your recruiters will likely ask you about your best professional qualities. You need to articulate why we should hire you.
