Location
With over 127 miles (204 km) of coastline, people from all over the world travel to New Jersey to have fun on the beach, which makes New Jersey a great place to work! Wildwood, Cape May, and Avalon on the southern tip of New Jersey are among the most popular destinations in the summer. Wildwood is known for its amusement rides, beach shops, and water parks. The nearby resort communities of Cape May and Avalon boast first-rate hotels, dining, and shopping. Because all of these areas rely on tourism during the summer months as one of their main sources of income, there are many jobs to choose from. About 40 minutes by car up the coast from Wildwood is Long Beach Island. Long Beach Island is a 26-kilometer long barrier island just off mainland New Jersey and it is home to many resort towns and attractions, including amusement parks, great shopping, and fine dining, and surfing along its many white sandy beaches. New York City and Philadelphia are only about a one hour drive away, making it ideal if you want to work in a beach community but still have the option of exploring some of America’s best cities. The New Jersey Shore has become even more well-known and popular with tourists thanks to the MTV show Jersey Shore, a reality TV show set in the town of Seaside Heights.
